All service packs can only be used for updating the corresponding program version, i.e. a service pack for version 6 requires an existing installation of PTV Viswalk 6. The updates are cumulative, meaning that the latest service pack includes all previous ones of the same main version.
Customers with a maintenance contract receive an update of each new main version automatically. Service packs are not mailed automatically, however. (Customers without a maintenance contract are kindly requested to send their enquiries to traffic.customerservice@ptv.de, respectively updater@ptvamerica.com for North America.)
For the installation of the service pack, the downloaded *.exe file has to be started. The installation runs automatically after the selection of the Viswalk installation which is to be updated.
